I have a couple questions (probably stupid ones). I don't know diddly squat about underhammers but am interested. How do you keep the primer from falling off? Can you shoot saboted bullets with one?

What works for me and my UHs. I grind a little off of the nipple so the cap slides further up onto the larger diameter portion of it's tapered base. I hope this makes a LITTLE sense. 5 Pronghorns hunting and never lost a cap, some just give it a good pinch and it stays on. What I'm saying I guess is it isn't really a problem.

Yes, kind of depends on what twist barrel you use.

I have fast twist bullet barrels and slow twist round ball barrels.

The nipple runs into the BP, that way I get more threads on the nipple.
I make my own actions.

The Amco bronze is store bought, I made the stainless steel ones.

The long ones are for underhammers, I like using Musket caps.

A 1000 grain ball at 1100 FPS.

Shoots length ways thru a deer, looks like you shot them with a golf ball.

Geez that would be a mess! I did not know .62 cal ball weighed a 1000 grs.
