My home-rendered ramrods have been constructed from solid aluminum rods (0.375") gained from an area sheet metal shop.
Drilled and tapped to accommodate fittings. Compliments stainless finish of my Rem 700 ML and Gonic GA-93View attachment 3581View attachment 3582

When changing ramrod from factory assigned specifications many variables need consideration.
Obviously length is one but diameter of ferrule to be used and internal clearance of rod guides and barrel bands.
Aluminum rods in a variety of diameters are readily available yet require fitting and mating of attachments for accessory use.
Commercially available fiberglass rods are preferred by this shooter.

Went to Ace yesterday they had no brass tubing..Went to Lows,nothing,,Sportsmans Warehouse none there..I think that brass would look nice also!

Graingers has it if you have a store local. Not cheap!
