Interesting that the newer SDS is not the same as the older one. It sure appears they changed its composition.

The older SDS used the word "esters" that is an organic chemistry term which can be applied to nitrocellulose.

I think they were just being cagey at that time. Since we now know the truth, there is no longer any need to hide the facts.
 
BH209 was illegal in Florida during ML hunts for awhile iirc and still might be for some management area hunts.
 
Yet BH209 is a legal "Black Powder substitute" for Michigan Muzzleloaer only seasons... says its a BP substitute right on the bottle.

I would like to see someone get out their chemistry set and come up with another brand to compete with BH209.

Maybe we can add ground up charcoal to some Trail Boss, and then write "Black Powder Substitute" on the bottle.
