Where did they go?

I was looking at the forum's Member List, and noticed a few member that have made big contributions to this forum (from their number of posts), but they haven't posted to the forum for a long time.

Anyone know what happened to them?

Kirrmeister passed away in a car crash a few months ago. There is a post under muzzleloading about it. The others I don't know about.

Kirrmeister & I did alot of business together. He could not get POWERBELT 245 or 295 HPs in Germany. I live only about 5 miles from the MIDWAYUSA warehouse so he told me what he needed, sent the money rapidly, & I mailed them out to him. I never charged him an upcharge (just rounded to the next highest dollar to make the transaction easier). Of course he sent alittle extra for my time and effort, but it NEVER was a condition of the purchase. I think over the time I sent about 30-35 cartons / packages of the above his way. He was honest with me and told me he planned to resell some of them.
I had shipped out the last order and , as usual, I asked him to PM me when he received them. Normally it took about 10-14 days. I started getting worried when after three weeks- no word. A short time after that the posting from one of his friends gave us the bad news. I was able to confirm (thru his friend) that his family did receive the packages about 3 days after he died.
Eventhough I never met him in person he was always a standup guy.
SURE MISS HELPING AN OLD FRIEND OUT AND EVEN SORRIER THAT OUR FRIENDSHIP HERE ON EARTH CAME TO A SUDDEN AND TRAGIC, ABRUPT END.
Probably has all the POWERBELTS he can fire off in HEAVEN!!!

Im back. Been a long time. Got distracted with life and bought a few acres away from people. Figured I would sign in here and check out some post. For some reason I cant use my old name Snowsolo and this website gave me the name bobber bob. Sounds too snowflake of a name to me. Hopefully a moderator will get back with me so I can get back into my old account.

Arrowed me a nice buck 1 hr into my 1st Bow hunt this year. To all you younger bow hunters......stay out of your stands until the pre rut starts and you have a good wind in your favor. No sense trudging around your hunting area in 70 degree weather stinking up your spot tipping all the does off with human scent and hunting pressure then come rut time you wonder why you don't see any mature bucks. If you wait until pre rut to hunt you more then likely with have cooler temps less leaves on the trees to see further and bucks with be on their feet seeking. The does haven't been tipped off of your presence yet either which means more does equal more bucks around.

Nice deer, Snowsolo! He looks like a bruiser. What gear do you use.
Those are good suggestions for old and new bow hunters in most states. Where I bow hunt in KS it is cooler way before pre rut and with the leaves falling early I don't have much trouble with my sent if I spray down my boots once or twice a day and drag some type of sent rag.
Again, congratulations on the nice buck. Oh, glad you got your old forum name back.

I migrated away from the forum some time ago. Then, some health issues kept me from shooting muzzleloaders for a while. Now, with 5 fused vertebrae and a cleanout of spinal debris that was compressing the spinal cord, I have started to shoot again. Learning to walk again at physical therapy twice a week.
I should contact saxman. I'm taking jazz sax lessons from a local professional, catching up after a 40-year layoff. Also, teaching my wife's friends to play bluegrass banjo. That takes up a full afternoon.
I never knew how busy retirement can be.
By the way, there are some common characteristics between banjos and muzzleloaders. We like tigerstripe maple on both of them.

IMHO this is true. I have made stocks from fiddleback, shell flame and bird'seye Maple. Which came first, The Tiger or the Fiddle ?
