I see it is a Whitelightning but not sure how it stacks against other models. It’s for sale for $500

I passed on the gun. Guy cut the stock so he could add QD mounts. I could not stand to look at that. Could have at least painted it.
 
I personally would not give $500 for a White-Lightning rifle. If in great shape with a scope that works, maybe $350-375.
Seen them selling on GB for that much and more depending on the model… the scope alone is worth some $$
 
The White Lightning was an SG Series rifle with a one piece barrel and receiver. Barrel length was 23". It was manufactured to try to capture the lower price point market while still retaining the White quality. If I remember correctly, the price was around $300. I bought one new back in the late 90s and it shot as good as any of the other Whites that I have or have had. Nice little rifle to carry or use in a blind/treestand.

If they just hadn't used the cheap Myrtle wood stock! Otherwise I agree!
