I'm always down in that area I hunt in the talladega national forest and choccolocco when they have hunts. The hunting around these areas used to be OK at best but they have implemented some serious management practices in the past 10 years or so and now the hunting is pretty good. Choccolocco is 8 point or better and that has let the age class of the deer improve so now all those spikes and 4 points are making it another couple years, it has dramatically made the hunting better. He's in a good area tbh, I couldn't imagine a better place to be. It's nice and laid back and there are surprisingly a lot of good people around there.
