54 Caliber Thompson Center New Englander. Very good condition. Barrel and rifling are like new. Stock has couple of small scratches.
I:48 twist
This rifle is one of the better New Englanders I've had.
80 grains of FFg Swiss, and Hornady .530 round ball is what seems to be the optimal combo for this rifle.

My neighbor was excited when I told him about this New Englander and he said "if it is the same as yours get it". But when I told him it had a wood stock he changed his mind. He is going on a float moose hunt in Alaska next year and now he wants mine, but no can do.

Interesting, sold one on here a couple of months ago with a synthetic black stock and everybody kicked about the stock.
Chicken one day, feathers the next.

Nothing wrong with the wood stock! Seal all the raw wood, under barrel ect. Go hunting, they look nicer to..
