#8 lead with black powder

I bought a bag of #8 dbl Xtra magnum shot. I'm wondering how far I can reasonably assume this will still break clay at. 25yds is my max usually sometimes I can reach out to 30. This was with 7.5. Do u guys think the move to 8 was good or bad?

Magnum shot is harder that should work fine
