I’ve got a little over a pound of BH209 that was given to me by a friend, that I’d like to use up. The only modern muzzleloaders I have are Whites.

I know from previous perusals of this DWB list there were many that indicated the BH209 generated enough additional pressure over “standard” propellants that percussion caps were know to disassemble themselves and become additional projectiles. I think one poster got a piece of a cap in his forehead.

Lately, I’ve read that some people had used BH209 without the additional drama, evidently duplexing with BP. Can anyone share any proven loads (duplexed or not) with BH209 that they consider “safe” in either .451 or .504 rifles?

Thanks in advance!
