Ooh! I done a baaad thing! Again...
A friend has one and its a wonderful wee beast!
Superb accuracy, compact and just off the chart handy.
Saw one today, n.i.b. for a price I simple COULD NOT pass on. Soooo...
Here she is. " Wee Beast " 7.62x39, 18.5 inch, (rather heavy), barrel, 5 shot magazine AND a set trigger. I put an old Burris 2x7 on her. Can not wait to get her dirty!
CZ was kind enough to send a facsimile of the factory test target. 3 rounds at 50 meters, just a hair under an inch with S&B 123 grain. Kind of them to do that.
Love the caliber. Decent power, but not a powder piggy!
So. Now I have 2 breechloading centerfires and a CRAZY good. 22 semiautomatic rifle.
I do HOPE I'm done now...

Get while the getting's good! These are REALLY excellent rifles. My bud's two 527s, a carbine and a rifle, are VERY accurate. These are extremely well built rifles. I prefer the 7.62x39 because I like bigger holes in critters, and have always liked the caliber. I don't plan on using ammo with bimetal jackets. Cast loads are a possibility too.
Can't wait to get her to the range!

I really want one in 6.5 Grendel.

I was really hoping that CZ was going to chamber the new 6mm ARC in the 527 varmint with a threaded barrel.
That isn't going to happen. CZ stopped production of the 527, 550, and 557. CZ has only one model now The 600. I wouldn't touch it with a pole.
The 527 value has went through the roof. I am happy I have the two 527's I have.
This one is a 527 American 223

This one is a 527 varmint 17 Hornet with a factory threaded barrel. When I ordered my suppressor I talked to CZ-USA to find out the thread and pitch. They told me that no threaded 17 hornets came to America. I gave them the serial number and they were shocked. They told me that there can't be many of them in the USA, but they also said they have no idea how many got here. This is it, I love this rifle.

My youngest son took his first deer this past Thanksgiving with a suppressed CZ527 in 6.5 Grendel while his older brother took a doe a few seconds later with a CZ550 in 6.5x55 Swede. Great rifles that should've never been discontinued.

I saw that on the CZ USA website. All the 527s are no longer offered. What a shame. A micro action 6.5 would be such a cool little rifle.

The new 600 series is a real turd. Most have aluminum actions and interchangeable barrels. There is a target model that is a steel action with a removable barrel. The price doubled.
The "Trail" is a real gem. It has a AR style stock. Aluminum actions and weighs over 6 pounds.
The Howa micro action carbon stalker weighs a little over 4.
Howa has announced that they will build a 6mm ARC. I hope it's in the carbon stalker.
