I have been hunting with my new Knight Ultralight during our Maryland gun season. I was able to take two decent bucks during our archery season so was pretty much looking for a meat doe or a good buck. Well the good buck showed up. 21" spread.

Totally impressed with both the Knight and the Lehigh bullets sitting in a MMP24 sabot. Rut is winding down but this buck came cruising by with his nose down like he was tracking a doe. When I first saw him I thought he would give me plenty of time to take a shot. I was in a ground blind and he was about 80-90 yards out. Gun was still leaning against the blind and I said to myself this guy is not stopping he's going to walk on by me. I better kill this guy quick. Got down gun on the tripod and waited for him to stop . He finally did giving me a nice broadside shot. Shot was good and he did a bath run for about 60 yards and crashed, Lehigh 230 made a complete pass thru and opened up nicely. Lungs were mush and hole on opposite side just thru out a great blood trail. Big body for sure.

Congrats on the buck. He is a big bodied animal, head's not so shabby either.

Nice harvest. Sounds like you are having a good season!
Been a really good year. Took a nice Antelope on a DIY hunt in WY this year and three nice Maryland bucks. Just one of those good years. Doest feel like I have hunted any harder just luckier I guess. My earlier archery buck and antelope
