Hi all.joined after talking to Nineringsixtwo in a Facebook group. .been into muzzleloader hunting 30 plus yrs here in NH. 5 yrs ago stumbled onto a smokeless site and I was off and running I hated trying to shoot my omega with black powder subs.always cleaning the damn thing to get it to group..joined hanks message board and ordered a 26” 1:20 brux barrel with lmrp modules and plug from him .ordered a savage target action and a manners t2 stock for my rifle.installed a third pillar and bedded the action plus one inch past barrel nut.installed a pic rail on forearm that had a sling mount .bedded scope base and mounted optic.was my first go at it. Came out awesome.my recommended load was 70 gr h4198 and 275 Pittman accumax.it shot better than any other rifle I reloaded for.my range has 100 200 400 .at 100 it was one hole.I really wanted to get to 400 but had no chronograph had no idea velocity or what I needed to come up.tried something at 200 hoped it would at least get me close enough so I didn’t have any short ground strikes they were watching me ,two and you have to go back to two hundred and practice more.so I settled in took my time and shot nearly a one hole group.I didn’t adjust anything aimed at bull and then measured drop. And repeated .went on hornadys site used there ballistic cal and kept adjusting the velocity till it said exactly what I got for drop at 2 hundred. 2800 fps is where I ended up.I then moved to 400 and came up 8.5 minutes started with 8 in plate.first round hit .it worked.not sure if I got lucky but lucky works for me. fine tuned for four inch plate and shot a group 3 shot 2 “ .I am still amazed with it. Mainly hunt with it now but still like taking it to the range.no one else in club has one. Had to get permission to shoot it past 200 so the range officer was there to make sure I knew what is was doing.he was amazed every one stops and comes looking when I touch it off.lol.deer and coyotes hate it .joined up to get more knowledge on powders .meet more like minded folks.it was January when I shot this video f”ing cold that day.

I haven’t shot targets at 100 and two hundred in a while. Primarily shoot at 400 but that target was the first group I shot with it at sight in.it’s got potential

Welcome Slaynbux. When i certified for our 300 range i used my Accura and was gettin all kinds of side-eye from the AR crowd who were also trying to certify. I made it, easy. At least 4 of the black-gun guys were sent back to keep practicing. Now i wish i had used an sml.

You listened to Ninering? Did you know he sold sand to Arabs before retiring in Florida? All kidding aside, Tom is very knowledgeable, a great guy, and willing to help anyone. (Don't tell him I said that).
Welcome from the back country sticks of Idaho and keep up the good shooting.
