I've shot firearms my entire life and it wasn't until I hit the magic age of 72yrs young, that I got my first Tasco Tattoo. Last fall at Atterbury it bit me. Match was timed, so I kept loading and shooting while the blood was dripping on the mat.

A loose hold on a 30-06 shooting 180gr gave me a tattoo. My 264 has bloodied two people. Since I am from an area that only allowed shotgun slugs for deer hunting it used to be more common.

54 cal 285 gr in a sabot from a kneeling position. Got the deer though. The doe wasn't the only one bleeding during the field dressing.
