This thread is more or less directed to ElDiablo but I'd like input from others also. I Just read one of his posts where he used One Shot when storing a rifle/barrel! This surprised me. I know it puts a film on the surface (Hornady calls it micro technology penetration or something to that effect).
I've used One Shot for years as a case lube but never considered it as a rust preventative. Does it protect a bore that well, better than something like Baristol?

It was the above test that prompted me to try One Shot. I’ve been very impressed by it so far. For those who don’t read through the entire test, here’s part of the results. One Shot, WD40 Specialist and Frog Lube came out on top. (All of which worked significantly better than Ballistol.)

I think I've found a new love ❤️ I've been using this for the last 2 month on Geox and sub powders and it's been working great no sticky tar Resident no build up and clean up in less time and also use it in my 308 Precision rifle with great results.
Now to have one cleaner to do both black powder and centerfire this is way I'm in love.
Not cheap but worth it to me and no I don't work for SF 5 I'm just giving my 2 cents.
I do use both cleaner and lube.
