At the very bottom of this page are a few bullets shot at medium (1400fps) and high velocity. It includes data about the wound channels and penetration comparisons of various bullets. A few are in the range we shoot from 50cal MLs using .429-458 bullets. I like the 458 data because it pretty close to what we can get with 300gr bullets and it also shows what happens when the fps drops into the 1400s. The lighter 300gr Barnes looks like it performed slightly worse overall than the 50gr heavier Speer.
