The scenario:

I'm out at the range involved in some friendy muzzleloading competition with some buddies. We're going into the final rounds of a 'loser buys the first round' match, and I dig into my gear and "Jumpin Jehesophat! My favorite bullets are GONE!" :d'oh!:
So I borrow a few from one of the guys, but they're a different weight than what my rifle is sighted in for. Is there a general rule of thumb to use as to how much more or less powder to use per change in bullet weight to achieve similar ballistics at a given distance? Or is the general rule the one that says I'm gonna be digging into my wallet first at the watering hole? :partyman:

I think you'll be opening your wallet. :drinkers:

There's just no way to know where you'll hit until you shoot it.

Well then, I better make sure I got plenty of my bullets on hand before I go and get myself in a jam!
