Yesterday I went thru the bolt on this newly acquired DISC rifle, and man was that a goobered up mess. After watching the video on how to break down the bolt, and not having a C wrench as Knight calls it, I used a 7/16 open end wrench which worked perfectly. I unscrewed the bolt body to find the old grease inside was rust colored and nasty. I was worried for a moment, but after scrubbing it with a tooth brush and rubbing alcohol, it cleaned up beautifully. It all looks like brand new! This old ugly rifle is turning out to be a real beauty!

Question? What type of grease are you guys using on your knight bolts, or just oil?

I have been seeing on these threads here and on the sister site that a lot of guys are starting to use WD-40 Specialist Corrosion Inhibitor. I'm going to get myself a can an try it out.
