Muzzle loader specific 209 Primers, Thoughts?

Anyone out there using Winchester's Triple 7 209 Primers. I have heard that all of the 209 primers for muzzle loading are garbage. Others say they reduce the crud ring. What are the opinions here?

They reduce crud ring “some”. I don't use subs that produce crud ring much, anymore. I switched to bh209 for cleanliness, and now im transitioning to smokeless for pricing, money saving. But if i were to use a sub that leaves a crud ring, i would use those Win 777 primers.

Been using them for years, I still get a crud ring, probably not as bad but it’s there.I swab between shots so I really don’t care

Definitely reduce the crud ring if you are using pellets like 777 or white hots.
