Old E is a powder that likes LOTS of compression. As in a compression die with BPCR. Kenny Wasserburger told me this last year and he is one of those guys competing on the upper end. Not sure it would work so good in a muzzy. I have 10 lbs of it for my Sharps but I don't shoot the matches.

We live close enough, I will gladly give you this Can of Olde E 2F if you want it? I wouldn’t give a Nickel for another Can of it! I got a Funny look from the Crew when i was Buying this Can to Try. And From what i seen after i did try it, it’s not in the same League as Swiss

It was 52bores Post here that interested me in Trying Olde E, I see where you mention Compression here as well.

Ha, no thanks. I'm powder poor now as it is. I was on Powder Inc's site last night . and noticed their cost on Swiss and seen that it was almost half the price of BH209. . I think it was $297.73 for 10 lbs delivered to your door and my last BH was around $250.00 from Graffs for half as much powder. I too like Swiss powder in some of my rifles . . I really liked Kik powder for some but they quit making it or at least selling it in the US. I still have a lifetime supply of it to use in my pistols. It shoots awesome in them. My 58 will prolly outshoot all of my center fire handguns using Kik , and that's with round balls. I only shoot the BH in 1 rifle and it shoot fine as a hunting rifle for 100 - 200 yds.

Excellant , excellant thread Lewis !!! Just a 1 stop shop for conical shooting !!!
I just tested a new bullet the other day and a new lube too . I dont have pics but in my White super 91 410 they shot great ,just barely under an inch @ 100 yds from not the best rests . Its also quite cold here in Michigan now and i soon found out i needed more insulated clothing !!!
My new bullet that i got the idea from hunter280man is a swedged .408 400gr pp hb knurled up to 411/412 . My bore is .4095 . 1 in 16 twist .
I also decided to try , from the casting forum , BLL lube . No leading at all when i cleaned Mighty Whitey last night !!!
This was over eventually up to 90 gr of T7 3f . My flash hole ,( i keep track) was in between .032 and .033 . Remington mag #11 cap too.
I hope it will shoot like this for a back up test , maybe better , in warmer weather !!! I was COLDDDD !!!
I dont know if anyone can possibly use any of this but i was REALLY EXCITED to have it shoot so well under very adverse conditions . Id also like to try a dry cotton ball under it too like you offered up once before .
I also had on my last 2 shots TERRIBLE FLYERS ???? I figured it was me cuz i was about froze . It wasnt . When i cleaned it i discovered a piece of my flash hole actually "broke off" and the result is over a .060 thou ragged on 1 side hole . So much for the new White plug i HAD . Time for a vent liner and a spare plug too from bestill . I told of this so guys will keep an eye on their flash holes . It MATTERS !!!!!
Hope this is usefull to somebody ...... Thanks again for all the great stuff you pass along !!!
