I filled my tag opening morning using my new MZ. It is a GM cutoff barrel when Knight went under(don't know which time) 45 with a 20 twist. It is just shy of 25" long. It was marked 30 but it is actually 20 twist, still has a broken tap in one of the sight holes. I sent to Woodman and he welded the trigger block and nitrided it. I was shooting a Fury 265g SPB over 110g V BH209 and a oversize felt wad. Recovered the bullet on the offside weight 227gr. It went through the humorous, split the heart and shattered the offside rib. Deer went about 20 yds. The target is at 100 yds, first shot is the top one, followed by the two touching.

Congrats on both the buck and the really cool unique rifle!

Congrats on your harvest! I hope to score in our Muzzle loader season this year. Is your bullet used with a sabot or is the bullet a full-sized bore diameter?
