Hey y'all. I'm looking for rear peep sight that will fit in the metric (.360) dovetail for my CVA Bobcat. Does anyone know of such an animal? Also do they make a dovetail adapter that will also fit in the dovetail changing it so a reddot sight will fit it?

A peep/aperture rear sight that is mounted out on the barrel far away from the eye is only going to be marginally more effective than the factory open iron sight that came installed on the CVA Bobcat as standard equipment.

For an aperture rear sight to be truly effective, it must be mounted on a rifle so as to be as close to the shooter's eye as possible.

The Johnson peep rear sight, which superficially resembles an old Marbles buckhorn rear sight such as were found on Winchester lever action rifles, is probably going to be the best bet if you must put an aperture rear sight out on the barrel. In order to fit on the Bobcat, you will have to drill & tap the barrel for two 6-48 screws that are 7/16" apart. This would entail filling the dovetail slot with a blank.

A much better solution would be to install the Johnson peep rear so that the aperture disk was back over the rear end of the breech plug. This installation, while not as good as an aperture rear sight mounted on the tang, is IMO, 1000 times better than an aperture rear sight out on the barrel.
