I just acquired a 40 caliber with 40 inch barrel marked Turner Kirklin Union City Tn. and made in Belgium does anyone know how old these are and when they started marking them Dixie

I believe Turner Kirklin owned Dixie and were made for him

Me too I just traded for one Saturday and it seems they were made before or during the 1970's

Just for clarity (not to bust anyone’s chops), his name was
“Turner Kirkland.”

Just in case anyone is trying to do a search.

Dixie Gun Works has kind of a fun origin story, too:

I’ve been there twice. It’s pretty cool, but the building (and perhaps the business?) are kind of “past their prime.” The leaky roof on the huge showroom was kind of a heartbreaker.

Incredible collection on display! 😍
