That was a pretty interesting video. I think I will look into that a little closer.

FG,

I have a NIB V2, SS camo. I haven't even degreased the factory coating yet. If this was your new rifle, how would you proceed? Start at the degrease stage and use the ultra bore coat? Then shoot 15-20 rounds and begin the load work up?

Yes, degrease and make sure its all clean, use some 000 steel wool down the bore to cut down to the bare metal, degrease 3 times, then run the bore coat.

I highly suggest the new kit they will have out in a few weeks,
Dyna Tek Coatings Kit,http://frontiermuzzleloadin.forumotion.com/ultra-coating-f11/new-package-coming-out-soon-t1226.htm This kit will only run you $25 + shipping and comes with the Bore coat, Degreaser and the gun shield.

The gun shield is fantastic and any fouling thats on the rifle frame, breech plug, just wipes right off slicker than snot.

Here I go again, waiting. lol I waited 6 months for the rifle and now another few weeks for the kit I want to treat it before it is ever fired. Deer season in 8 weeks, and I need time to work up a load. Hope they hurry.

IMO its well worth the wait! You can get it all cleaned up and ready for the gun shield first and clean up the inside of the frame the best you can and degrease it.

Thanks for the advice. That is what I intend to do. What is the contact info fro the new package?
