To the OP. You can't complain about losing shoulder meat if you're going to shoot the deer in the shoulder. Double lung shots don't lose hardly any meat. A little rib meat and deer don't have much of that.

This makes no sense. Who loads a bullet with just the threaded end of a ramrod? Why cater to those who do and make everybody else have to buy a new ramrod too? Is CVA really this stupid?

You won't have threads on the new ramrod. If you have a rod that has a jag on one end that is threaded for the palm saver to screw onto and the other end is just a fitting to load it's the new one.
