Terra Server, U.S. Geological Survey.

Go to : www.terraserver-usa.com

If you go to this site and take your time you can home in on your favorite hunting location and get a birds eye view of where the hotspots (funnels) are located as well as the habitat type changes.

The best hunting is usually found where the greatest no# of habitat types come together, IE: timber, pasture, agriculture (row crop), weed patches, creeks and drainages, etc. The more of these you have the greater your chance at finding game (deer).

You can also go to your county seat (courthouse) and go to the supervisor of assessments offc to obtain copies of aerial photos. Sometimes current and sometimes not. You can also go to your local AFC office as they also have aerial photos of all the farm ground in the area that you can get a copy of.

This is a valuable Tool to help you get a chance to try out that New Savage 10ML-II on a Whitetail, and also get a better understanding of game movement patterns, etc. in your hunting area.

Lastly, if you have a map or atlas & gazetteer that shows longitude and latitude coordinates this will help to get you close starting off, then you can fine tune to get your exact location. Once you get the hang of it you will be checking out all your favorite hunting spots. Tip, you can take a copy of photo into the field with you and use it to record information (deer activity) on and compare later or use as a base for future forays in the field.

I just wanted to share the above info with all, especially the new smokeless Muzzleloading guys who may not be aware of this valuable accessory Tool.
