"Understanding Firearm Ballistics" by Robert A. Rinker

All the shooters here should have a fundamental knowledge of ballistics. The books reminds me of a high school or college text book the way it is presented. Even though there is lots of math in this topic , the author's presentation allows you do the math if you want, or skip over it. You really don't need it to understand it the fundamentals. This is a much improved (read cleaned up) version over the old 3rd edition which was I believe was just called "Understanding Ballistics". The charts and pictures are a still a little cheesy looking.
I find the book to be an excellent reference and will probably wear out this paperback version too before long. If you don't already have another good book on firearm ballistics (like "Modern Exterior Ballistics" by Robert L. McCoy) then I would suggest picking up a copy. I really don't think there is a better ballistics book for the laymen.
