Well, it's been one of those years where my time in the woods has been few and far between and having only been out twice for bow season i had decided that I'd try my new muzzleloader out at the first opportunity. The farmer wants the deer killed anyway and you can't eat the antlers, but there are some nice deer on the property. Anyway, first kill with a muzzleloader was a little 7 pointer that dropped in his tracks. I used an Optima V1, 250 gr Barnes Expander, Crush Rib sabots, and 120 gr of loose pyrodex at 40 yards.

that's a nice deer and it should provide some great eating.
