Found this buck chasing a doe this morning! Needless to say .52-530i dumped him in his tracks. I Recovered the bullet will post shots of it here in a awhile. I have only killed one blacktail bigger then this, it was on private ground. This is by far my biggest on public ground.

Nice BT. Congrats.
Always saw a lot of nice ones during bear season here in Siskiyou County. Seems the rut brings the big boys out around here. But not many tags drawn for them here, M11 where I hunt has only 20 tags. Needless to say, I didn't get drawn.

Now that is a beautiful Buck. I notice the deep cover he was in too. I can only wish I had a shot like that at so nice a Buck l!

That's a great blacktail.
Congrats
Thanks FishinRod, and thanks everyone else too! This was up near Tire mountain on the Willamette side of the unit. I talked to Chad the other day, turns out I know your son as well! He has done some work for me at Curran’s and I see him at cabelas as well. How’s the hunt going down south?

Definitely a small world. Ya, Josh is a great young man. Gets paid to talk about hunting at both jobs. Lol
I missed a buck on Saturday. Normally I set my hair trigger, but for some reason I didn't this time. I squeezed and squeezed, then yanked that trigger. Little excited I guess.

He is always helpful and more then will to chat about hunting!
Bummer! Never hunted the sixes unit but up here it seems the rut is kicking of in the high country. Friend of mine has been seeing more deer. He is trophy hunter though, he will wait for a monster. Here is an Idaho buck he got, rifle season.

Saw 11 does and fawns today. Apparently not a single 20211123_090826.jpgone of them was pretty enough to have a boyfriend tagging along.
