Which is the hottest RWS or CCI Mag?

RWS are much hotter and more dependable with caps. They also fit better than most others. The ones to buy are RWS 1075s. They come in a red tin.

If you need a hotter cap, another option is to install a musket nipple and use musket caps.

RWS are far more reliable than the CCI per my experience.

I have had no problem with ignition with the CCI mag primers, but noticed other hunters using the RWS primer. I think I will give them a try........thanks

I have had the opposite of others concerning the two primers. The CCI mags worked great with no missfires and fit my nipple just right. The RWS didn't fit right and found some with no charge in them. Needless to say I had missfires with them. One was at a buck broadside at 30yds.
