I think this post got deleted by mistake so here it is again.
Here are the 3 deer I harvested w/ my new 10ML all went less than 40yds and one bang flop. The Ithaca is going bye bye and this will be my new "slug gun"! I plan to take off the ugly camo tape and have it ''Black Iced'

I was also impressed w/ the 250 bonded SW over 40gr 4759. 2 pass throughs and I dug another out of the skin on the far shoulder , it weighed 237grs

Thanks for all the help I received here getting started.

I wondered where this thread had gone! Congratulations again NYRACKADDICT!! Great shooting!

Congrats on a great harvest.

Funny you mention your Ithaca going bye bye. My Deerslayer II has been laid to rest this year too. It gives me "the look" every time I reach for the Savage. Its been good to me for 15 years and I can't bear to part with it though.

Mines a DSII aswell, 1st one to come out of the OH factory. Beutiful gun but the thing kicks like a giraffe and dont shoot for crap, worst gun $$$ I ever spent. I will keep my 51 though!

The pic of the bullet you weighed, at what range was this shot, good weight retension, but man that bullet is like a pancake.

Around twenty yards, muzzle velocity about 2050fps. Entered high in the back of ribs and came to rest low in the far shoulder, deer hobbled another 20 or 30 yds and died.
