Wondering what other people including RANDY think of a modified Ruger 77/50 with the "Bolt Nose" modification. While not a long range MZ due to the barrel length it appears to take care totally of the inherent blowback issues and with replacing the front peep site screw with a longer screw positions the bolt in a open position suitable for removing/reinserting a primer with one hand. The bolt nose conversion enables the rifle to be desinged for loose BH 209 poweder. I''ve got 2 that i've converted including from birch stocks to laminated. These carry, look like real rifles.

I've had 2 77/50`s and wish I hadn't got rid of them, easiest carrying muzzleloader I ever owned and both were very accurate.. I would like to find another in good condition to try the conversion on.
