Traditions BP Rifle Geneology

Did/does Traditions sell a rifle that looks like a clone of the TC Renegade with some brass furniture and 26" barrel?  The one I've seen does not have a patch box or cheek rest on the stock.

They made a "Springfield Hawken" Brass furniture, sorta flat butt plate, single trigger...

I've had a Traditions Springfield and plenty of Renegades. The TC is a much better built gun.

Best to drop the bucks and do it right one time.
Just my 2 cents worth based on wasting money on junk.
I didn't know then what I know now.

Mine.

.40 caliber.....well you can read the description.
Best $900.00 bucks I ever spent.
Price today.............?????????????? No way to touch anything like that for under four or five
thousand IF a piece of wood could be located to match this one.

I've taken a number of deer with muzzle loaders but never this one.

I'm afraid I might scratch it in the woods. :slaps:

By the way. The builder of that rifle also makes hand made knives.

Mine also. A small skinner with Kauri wood scales.
Kauri is an ancient wood. Ancient as in the wood hasn't grown for thousands of years
and is only found in New Zealand.
A wood working artist could buy some IF a wood worker could afford it.

New Zealand native Kauri trees (Agathis australis) that fell thousands of years ago are known simply as Ancient Kauri. The trees have been buried and preserved underground in swamps for more than 45,000 years.


You can by a nice Kauri wood table for a mere $100,000 bucks.
A bit out of my price range.

Amazing :face: how large Kauri trees were.  Clearly the king of exotic woods.
