Hi guys

i was talking to a buddy today about ML hunting (I told him I shot a doe with my omega)

He is interested in ML hunting

A quick bit of background on this guy---

he will spare no expense on guns ZERO thought i personally shot his matched pair of custom made Westley Richards shotguns, I have also shot several of his D'Arcy Echols rifles

so you can see $$$$ is not problem

ok back to my question

what does the guy that can have what ever he wants buy in a ML
(i bought his Encore from him my dad for after he set it up and sighted it in and never hunted with it)

he is looking at buying a Ultimate

Actually I think he is trying to become a dealer (has to buy 3)

What is the best ML to buy

JD

D'Arcy Echols rifles are now costing $12,000 per gun, I also have a friend that has several but he bought his at $6,000 per rifle.

May I suggest the T/C custom shop for finish, engraving and barrel options for a T/C pro hunter.

You are a nice friend to help him spend thousands on a muzzleloader.

Of course "Grouse" has the perfect answer to the $$$ problem on a ML.

I know his one D'Arcy Echols rifle

was made for a guy who died before the gun got finished and my buddy bought it for 15,500 with a syn stock

its a .375 H&H what a gun

the best part in my eyes was the machined scope mounts

AWESOME made perfect

I emailed my buddy the link to th NULA stuff

He is silly on guns

JD

The BadBull and NULA would be two good choices.

I'm pretty sure Michigan doesn't allow Smokeless powder.

With price being no object I'd probably go with an Ultimate and see if they could put a synthetic thumbhole on it. Wouldn't shoot loads beyond any other muzzleloader even though the Ultimate allows such loads. That's me though.

thanks guys

he is going to order 3 ultimates got dealer pricing

his is an ffl and has been for 15-20 years

patrick i think you are correct MI may not allow smokeless during the muzzleloader season

i will have to look

thanks

JD

as soon as he ets it (hopefully before dec 7 our Ml season opens then)

I will do a full report

JD

I would say the Ultimate. One of my buddies has one, shot a deer over 300 yds, dropped it in its tracks.
