found one more problem on my new englander. kinda of a big one, the is not wanting to strike the cap everytime, normally it is some where in the tenth shot. my father in law went to pop a cap. it did it on the first. when I get home I am going to take the lock out and clean it real while and see if that helps if not, it may call for some work on it.

all the little problems I am having is making me feel like when I got my knight

I have had projects like that, one thing after the other.Very frustrating
Hope it all works out for you,I hear those are sweet little guns

I may end up getting new barrel and a new lock for it.

anyway, that is going to be a few months away, short on funds to get it worked on.

Corey, I am pretty much a newbie here so I am just now reading your rather old post.  Just wondering how you made out with that cap problem.  I had a problem 2 0r three years ago with my CVA big bore mountain rifle not popping the caps.  I ended up putting in a new main spring and problem solved.
