300 grain XTP questions

how many of you have used a 300 XTP on whitetails? please include load and or velocity and terminal performance i am looking for an all-around whitetail load the 300 xtp is inexpensive($12.00 a boxper100) and i want expansion with an entrance and an exit wound will i get this with 41-44 grains of 5744? :shock:
