Hi,
I have a T/C encore in 50 caliber. My friend just sold a 54 caliber gun and gave me the pyrodex pellets he had. They are obviously for the 54 but since they do fit in the 50 caliber barrel would they work? I shoot 150 grains (3 pellets) and these are 60 a piece so I can drop my load a bit and just use two of these. Anyways, the question is will they work??
Thanks

I thought you was kidding at first since this is under the humor topic....

If the .54 pellets fit and go all the way down you should be able to use them as long as you don't go over 150 grains equivilent. I have personally used .50 pellets in a .54 but not in the reverse.

By doing the reverse and using the .50 pellet in a .54 barrel did you have to add any powder to fill any air gap,
I'm asking cause the .54 pellets are hard to find any more.
Thanks
Marc

Just the pellets. Mixing any pellets and granular is sort of a no-no since they have entirely different burn rates.
