An important part of accurate long-range target shooting is to not focus on the aligned target, but rather on the reticle as you squeeze off.

Your comments on this, Mr. Rifleman? :idea: :?:
 
Darn good one too Randy. Theoretically it should not matter because the reticle and the target are on the same focal plane. Parallax is a bigger problem IMO because it will bite you when you least expect it. However to get back to the question. I really don't know what is the correct answer. I find myself siding with you on this one as being an experienced irons shooter I tend to concentrate, not necc. focus on the reticle but concentrate on the reticle and placing it where I want it. Thats the best I can do on this one.
