Wow that is a heck of a fish... They had a TV show on them where some guy was trying to catch one. I think the show was called Monster Quest.
That show Monster Quest also had a segment about fishing for Gar or Alligator Gar as they are called. This was in Texas in some river not to far from Dallas. I knew about alligator gar but never knew they could get as big as the one they caught in that river. And that was not a huge one.
