Cape Buffalo with a muzzleloader

Good article in this months American Hunter on hunting Cape Buffalo with a muzzleloader using Pyrodex RS and custom ordered Powerbelts.

Since we don't all get that mag. Why not tell us about it?

One finger typing so you get the basics from me. Guns were CVA Accura V2s. 130 grs Pyrodex RS was there propellant. Special ordered Safari grade 480 gr Power Belt bullets were used. Strengthened with a flat nosed cap for hunting buffalo and elephants. Muzzle energy was chronographed at 2690.

Thanks for the info. That's a pretty stout load to shoot but cape buffalo is not to be fooled with.

Sort of says it all about not shooting a conical over 400gr in a CVA.
