I'm not new to ML, been doing it since I was 13 and am 57 now. No, this has to do with getting friends and family interested in the sport.
Back in the mid to late 80's I moved to AZ. I showed my Uncle the one ML rifle I had at the time. He said he was not interested in it because there was "too much junk involved". He reluctantly agreed to go shooting with me and I brought a .58 Zouave along. He observed me load and shoot it several times and asked if he could try it out.
He passed last January and I have been liquidating his 40+ BP guns. Those are the ones he had when he passed. I estimate he had owned at one time or another better than 300 BP guns.
Sometimes all you have to do is put one in the hands of a shooting enthusiast to "corrupt" them.
Did the same thing to a friend of mine and I just sold him one of my Uncle's last guns.
