CVA Optima V2 209 Breech Plug T 7 Compatibility

Hello,
I recently purchased a used Optima V2; S/S with a horrid half a$$ed 5.00 spray can painted stock... Fortunately the bore and action is in very good/excellent condition....It came with the breech plug that is compatible with Buckhorn 209. Since I have about #10 of FFg Triple 7, can that plug be used with the loose T7 or do I need to get the standard ones with the smaller opening? Thanks

The BH plug will work just fine. The original plug without the deep concave end is mainly for pellets. You will experience the crud ring with T7, so swabbing will be necessary after a couple shots.

I have shot my Optima with T7 using both plugs and it it seemed to shoot the same as far as accuracy but it didn't seem to develop the crud ring as quickly using the 209 plug
