Just wanted to share my 14 yr olds successful ML story this year. Sorry no photos!
Jacob and I were out hunting in Southern Illinois second day of gun season with my T/C Encore 50 cal,250gr Shockwves,100 gr clear shot powder.
It was a nice crispy morning and my son hasen't shot a deer in 3 years--he was ready. Apparently our practice paid off this year.
At around 7:00am he said dad theres two does-Ah young eyes!!
So I drop the binoculars and see not 40 yards away two does.
I told him to take aim and go.
He lets one go and I see the second deer's tail goes down and they both run. Well, she only made it about 30 yards--a perfect double lung shot.
He took a nice 80 lb field dressed doe.
I'm sooo glad that I can share and pass such a graet tradition with my sons. (my 16 yr old hunts too)
This
means more to me than the next world record buck--Honest!
