I went with a ebony stain. I may do one more coat.

a look that will drive you nuts, still trying on decide on a silver or black scope lol.

the stain look lighter then it does in the picture. my flash did not go off and that corner is dark in the first place.
 
ss barrel always looks best with a black scope on it. That should be a real interesting look on the renegade. I never seen one that dark before. Now go get a good pic!

only went with the one coat of ebony. I am starting the urathan process now.

Spitfire, I would normally agree about the blued/browned comment but for some reason I thought he had a stainless barrel?
 
I have a SS barrel, one reason I went so dark on the wood.

I have all the parts in. going to put it all together post pics. maybe have a range report for Saturday with it.
 
The barrel looks pretty dark on the pics , did you coat it with something
 
really bad lighting, I when get home from work, I will putting better light. cleaned the barrel and oiled the out side of both the barrel and stock with remoil should show up.
