I decided to do some spaghetti sauce yesterday and everything I used came from the garden. The roma tomatoes of course, and onion, garlic and the herb blend. I used just a touch of honey to cut the tartness after getting things pureed, otherwise everything came from the garden.

Its a process to get from raw stuff to tomato sauce but worth the time. The pictures show the pot just as the goodies were heating up. Three hours later, the other picture shows what the finished sauce looks like. The finished sauce is seedless and way smoother than the picture shows. Ragu never tasted this good.

Looks delicious Mr. Tom. I haven't made sauce in 20+ years, still have my grandma's and dad's recipes,. I should dig them out.

Looks good we canned 12 quarts of crushed tomatoes today as they are just starting to ripen here. 66 quarts of green beans last week. Love my garden!

same here, Ive been on a canning frenzy for weeks now. New this year are Tromboncino squash and yard long beans. They both will be a new staple

The sauce looks great! My in-laws are Italian immigrants and my mother in laws sauce with fresh tomatoes and lots of basil is my favorite!
My tomatoes are just now beginning to ripen. My garlic is curing and my onions will be ready to be pulled soon.
I bought a new tomato crusher than I’m looking forward to trying in a few weeks.
