The 98% DEET keeps the flies off. Even 99% on the mosquitos. But when there are thousands even a percent or two is difficult.

I think I saw a few mosquitos drink it and another couple were running on diesel.

Thanks folks for the kind reception. Not surprised there are so many from Michigan including the ‘ Yoopers ‘ which everybody here in Muskegon Whitehall area knows is a different province altogether. The land of ‘ Jack Pine Savages ‘ I was told when I moved here six years ago fro NH. Not in the best part of the state but I can there from here.

Yes you can. In a short drive you should be able to hunt, fish, shroom, just about all Michigan has to offer. Get all the brochures Michigan has to offer and start planning your year. Rabbits in the winter, trout, stealhead, salmon, turkey, shrooms in the spring. Trout during the summer. Partridge, squirrel, archery deer, gun deer, bear??? Get out and enjoy it.

Do you participate in the Bonfield Muzzleloaders at the ISRA range? Been there several times, nothing like starting the day with over a dozen shooters to take part in this great hobby!
