I posted on another thread that I had accuracy problems with my Mossberg patriot 243. I sanded off the forend area of the stock that was touching the barrel and played with the action screw’s torque,they tend to be sensitive to the accuracy of the rifle. I’m getting 3/4” groups @100 yd. I think I can improve on that by bedding the action and will be doing that soon.

A friend did the same with my Remington 700 ADL. By just getting rid of that pressure point, I saw an immediate improvement in accuracy.
 
I don’t have a inch pound torque driver but I had to snug down the front screw pretty tight and the back screw just a tad.
