Not possible. The bullet would “ slag” away after several remelts. But, I like your way of thinking.

Me too. The only bullets I’ve ever recovered were a .243 bullet from a deer and a 7mm-08 bullet from a moose.

Good thing you said in theory cause I can think of several fatal wounds with cast were complete pass thru that resulted in no blood trails/hair/or circling buzzards , so that theory got blown up /not even possible as I never miss !! /Ed
