Tom sent this bullet to test on the standard set. The range was 26 yard. The powder charge was 80g Blackhorn. The target consisted of carpet, shelf, and water jugs.

The bullet went through the carpet, shelf, all 5 water jugs, and into the added milk jug, where it was found. The first two jugs were toast. The first jug had the entire back split open. One can see slits where the petals exited the front jug, and also where petals entered the second jug. Two petals were found in the second jug. A third petal was found on the ground beside the horse using a metal detector. The three petals weigh 47.8 grain. The average petal weighs 15.93 grain. Times that by 4, and the result is 63.73 grain. The body of the bullet now weighs 121.4 grain. Add to that the weight of 4 petals, and the sum is 185.13 grain. The total weight of the bullet is accounted for.
