MI Opening Day Deer

Had a great morning with my disc extreme 45 here on the opener in MI,

First 8 was shot facing toward me, about 40 yards piled up in 10

The 7 point about 10 mins after my 8 was about 60 yards heart shot dead in 30

Doe i shot was about 30 yards facing me and went about 50

All shot with 195 barnes expanders, harvester blue crush rib and 120 by volume of T7 2F shoots lights out and the bullet is absolutely devastating left fantastic blood trails.

Those 195 gr Barnes Expanders are nasty little pills. My go to bullet if I am shooting plastic which is not often.

Those 195 gr Barnes Expanders are nasty little pills. My go to bullet if I am shooting plastic which is not often.

I couldnt believe how hard they hit and expand, I bought a .52 yesterday since theyre on sale, not sure if i need it now haha, ive got two up and coming deer hunters that 45 will do great, had a couple guys chuckle that i still use a muzz instead of a 450, i definitely didnt have an issues with blood like those hornady blacks have in the 450

You bet but its worth the effort my boys and wife love it, we probably eat it around 4-5 times a week, plus with my boys growing they put a dent in it!
