Anyone know when these were manufactured, Im guessing they are one of Knights 1st inlines... guy has one for 125.00 that he says is in very good cond., no rust/pitting in bore etc..believe it has the walnut stock also.. Im thinking maybe lates 1980`s.
If you have or have had one what did you think of it, how do they compare to the MK-85`s?

Found just a bit of information...

Knight made the T-5 in the early 90's. it is very similar to the Wolverine/BIghorn. They still service that rifle as well.

Thanks for the help, going to see if I can trade him out of it if its in as good of shape as he says..

Yes, early to mid 90's.

Just be aware, the T5 wasn't actually made by Knight. They farmed out the manufacture to Italy, IIRC. It was an entry level rifle that was hard to warm up to by the Knight owners. That is the reason Knight came out with the AMERICAN KNIGHT as it's replacement entry level rifle.

With all the great American Made Knight Rifles of the past (MK 85, BK 92, LK 93, Wolverine, etc.,) that can be had for not much more, I just couldn't get exited about the ITALIAN KNIGHT.

Unless you are a collector, or just want one?

So its a Italian gun, well that definetly changes things.. does it have a American barrel or is it Italian, guess what Im asking is were the parts shipped to Italy and put together or is it all Italian manufacture.. not a collector just like the old Knights.

I'm not saying it is a bad rifle, just the bastard child of Knight. Nobody wants to talk about them. I remember them well, because I was already Knight "MML" MK-85 owner, and kept a close eye on all the Inlines. The stock is not Walnut, unless someone changed it out. They are stained hardwood, like the BK-92's and kit rifles of that time frame.

Here is some information, but there isn't much out there. It was Knight's attempt at a cheap rifle to compete with the CVA's and other cheap inline rifles being imported at that time trying to ride the wave. I think the rifles were quickly discontinued.

Here is an old post on GB that I answered a few years back. Might sound like a broken record?

Make sure to read the "bigred6933" post at the bottom, he claims he worked for Knight in the 90's.

Here are some pics you can zoom in on to see the stock is stained hardwood, not walnut.

I believe knightrider may still work for Knight?

If you do buy it and shoot it, let us know how it does. Never knew anyone that admitted to owning one! LOL

Well decided to pass on the T-5, couldnt work out a trade, he wanted too much cash to go along with the trade...

Fast forward 2023 still have one and use it regularly for deer and squirrels (with reduced load) Made in 1992. Nothing to look at, but very functional. Tight bore, not all .50 cal projectiles will fit.
